I’ve been writing songs and playing informally since high school. However, when I wrote “Put My Faith In You” in 2008 and started playing it in church during communion, many people conveyed to me that this song was profoundly impacting their lives. Many of these people insisted that I record this song. Considering their reactions, I decided to build my own studio and record not only this song, but others I have written throughout the years as well as several new songs. With a lot of help and coaching from my brother, Joel DeFauw, and my great friend, Bill Cheyne, I learned from scratch how to produce my own music. It has been an awesome experience to see this album come to fruition and to involve my two daughters, Ava and Claire in the song “Love Note”. This album is dedicated to my family and to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave me the initial song to start this project and the overwhelming drive to see it through to completion. I sincerely hope that one or more of these songs touches the hearts of listeners, wherever they may be. Enjoy the music!
